Altenew March 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, crafty friends !
Welcome to my blog.
I'm so honored to be a part of blog hop for the March 2018 Release at Altenew.
I hope you've come to my blog from Kymona Tracey, or you can start over the hop from Altenew Card Blog.

Before moving on, you can see the whole release here .

Today, I'm going to feature 3 products which are Mega Succulent, Dearest Friends, and Neighborhood Stamp set.

The Mega Succulent is my favorite one among the New Release.  Look at the big beautiful blossom which is about 5x6 inch size. Although it is a succulent, I thought it could be a blossom too.

To begin, I stamped the image on a watercolor paper using Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform. I colored it using my favorite "Quinacridone Coral" as a main color, splattered white acrylic paint onto the panel, then trimmed it into 4 1/8" and 5 3/8'' inch size.

I chose a sentiment from Precious Moments Stamp set and then heat embossed it on a vellum strip with gold embossing powder. I adhered both side of vellum strip onto the back of panel, and added Thanks diecut from Halftone Circles Stamp and Die Bundle

After, I foam mounted the panel onto an A2 sized top folded card base, then finished off the card by adding Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix

I made a same card using different colors of Daniel Smith Watercolors. Here's a green version using my favorite "Prussian Green" as the main color.

Which one is your favorite ? :)

For my next cards, I chose Dearest Friends Set which is full of lovely floral images and sentiments. I have three cards to share with you featuring this set.

I stamped the largest floral image on a watercolor paper, painted it using Daniel Smith Watercolors, then I trimmed the panel into A2 size.  I stamped sentiments on the top of the panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Then I foam mounted it onto A2 sized top folded Woodgrain Bark Cardbase, finished it off by adding twines and Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix.

In the second card, I did the same watercoloring, then I added splatters of ink, sentiment was heat embossed in white on a black strip

The third card was made using no-line watercoloring.
I stamped the image using Antique Linen ink, colored it using Daniel Smith Paints, added some dark ink splatters, stamped sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.

I used blue colors palette for the main flowers and I love how it came out. I didn't add pencils details. You can just use smaller brush when you want to give focal shades onto your watercolor.

As a final embellishment, I added Buttercream Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh which is my favorite embellishment these days.

Here are three cards altogether.
The delightful floral images really made me feel spring is just around.

Lastly, I'm showcasing the Neighborhood Stamp Set and Neighborhood Home Die Set. Among various craft themes, "House or Street" is one of my favorite, so I couldn't resist this gorgeous house stamp set.

I first stamped the Neighborhood Stamp Set on a copic friendly paper, then cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine, then I separated several houses from the house block. All the images were colored using copic markers. I also diecut Neighborhood Home Die Set out of copic friendly paper, and colored them using copic markers.

I decided to make a 3D Pop Up Standing Card with Town Scene. For the inside wall, I trimmed a Bristol paper into a little bit smaller than 4.25x5.5 inch size, then blended it using Mountain Mist and Volcano Lake ink and blending tools. I stamped Welcome using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

For the floor, I trimmed a light yellow pattern paper into 5x5.5 inch, then I scored straight lines at 3/8, 4 1/4, and 4 5/8 inch along the 5" side.
I stamped the solid images of street using Pure Graphaite and Industrial Diamond, cut them and adhered onto the floor panel.
I cut small slits into the floor just behind the streets, inserted L-shaped strips  made out of heavyweight cardstock. These strips will support the images to stand up.
Then I adhered the floor and bottom part of L strips onto the cardbase.

I adhered houses, fences and cars to the L strips and to the green wall to make a whole town scene.  I stamped a blocked sentiment on a white paper, then foam mounted it on the floor. As a final embellishment I adhered flat heart-shaped iridescent sequins.

I really loved the dimensions in this card. Do you like them ?

For the outside of the card, I made a clean and simple design using the Neighborhood Stamp Set and Neighborhood Home Die Set. The bold street image was stamped in Espresso ink. I added 6mm and 4mm Raspberry Sequins for embellishment.

Here is a short video showing how the card looks when I open and close it.

That's it for today. Thank you so much for visiting here and reading this post. I hope you enjoyed my cards. Before you move on, don't miss the Giveaway info below. Now, your next stop to hop along is Virginia Lu 's Blog. Have Fun !
